Morphe Pressed Pigments

Recently I picked up quite a few of the new Morphe Pressed Pigments, and let me just get this out of the way first up – they are absolutely freaking awesome!

I purchased the pigments from Discount Beauty Boutique, an online beauty retailer here in Australia, which stocks some fabulous products that you can’t get elsewhere. Discount Beauty Boutique stocks the shadows for AUD$9.50 each which I think is an absolute steal!

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion

Cushion foundations have been trending for a while now; a Korean beauty favourite made mainstream when Lancôme released their Miracle Cushion (which I have yet to try). Despite the ravings of many a YouTube beauty guru, I thought cushion foundations were a bit of a fad. How could a liquid foundation coming out of a sponge make it any better?

Makeup Geek Haul

Recently I made my first venture into the beautiful shiny world of Makeup Geek. I’d had my eye on a few of their products for a while, including the Manny MUA collaboration palette. When Manny announced on his YouTube channel that his palette would shortly be sold out, it finally gave me a reason (lets be real, an excuse) to place an order!

Illamasqua Skin Base

This is a classic product. Easily buildable from medium to full coverage, this foundation has no SPF so it is fantastic for a night out or for flash photography. Although because I’m boring and don’t go out much, I usually wear it on a bad skin day to liven my complexion.

Hourglass’s Ambient Lighting powder formula is one of the best around. Incredibly finely milled with the perfect amount of light reflection to blur imperfections and guarantee a great skin day, every day.

Cleopatra Eau de Parfum by Tocca

Tocca’s eau de parfum, Cleopatra, has turned into my go-to scent of this autumn/winter. I received this perfume as a gift from my partner at Christmas after testing it in store and falling in love. Despite how much I adored this scent when I first tried it, I didn’t fall head over heels in love until autumn rolled around. Here in Australia we are smack bang in the middle of winter, so I’ve been using this perfume religiously since about April.

Kate Somerville’s Nourish Hydrating Firming Mist

I adore facial mists. There’s something about those couple of spritzes that is just so…satisfying! I enjoy using a mist as part of my skincare regime but also as the final step in my makeup routine, to knock down the powder and set everything in place for the day. My spritz of choice of late is Kate Somerville’s Nourish Hydrating Firming Mist.
